In 2012, Washington State legalized cannabis and venture capital poured into companies licensed to grow, process, and sell the plant. Curious about the new industry, I helped a friend acquire commercial real estate zoned for retail and launch her new store.

In the process I saw an opportunity for a product that could ride the wave of legalization without getting into the business of cannabis. I teamed with CEO, Samantha James, and together we designed a stylish vaporizer branded to appeal to millennials who represent 80% of the market.

FEZ is a best-in-class device that is simple, elegant, and functional. We combined an anodized aluminum shell in a smooth polycarbonate case with a ceramic chamber and 2600mA rechargeable battery into a slim form factor.

We manufacture Fez in Guangzhou, working closely with the factory to ensure quality and product safety. Traveling and working in China has been a educating and enriching experience that has given me insight into China’s current age of ambition.
